Use a 3.0:1 gear box:  it slows down a little but adds to duration by 15% for longer run times.

Gear Box Great Planes

2.5:1 is hotter pinion gear for the Kyosho Magnetic Mayhem Motor
This gear box has a lot to offer. You can adjust the gear mess with a good
deal ease, the pinion gear is steel, open housing for optimum cooling, easy
gear changes, and operational inspections, light weigh, and set screw for the
pinion gear, not to mention the pinion gear options for 3.0:1, 3.8:1.

3.0:1 use this pinion gear with Kyosho Magnetic Mayhem for
longer run times (total flying weight not to exceed 68oz)

Only use this gear set up when you've built as light as possible (basic spar) and
